I met Badfinger for a second time on May 8, 1971 and that is when this (promo) picture was signed. They were on tour and playing a club in Island Park, New York (on Long Island) that was alternately called "The Rock Pile" and "The Action House." (I) interviewed the band that night between shows. The photo comes from the shots provided to me in the press kit... it's known as the "totem" shot for obvious reasons.
