I took
the bus down to the college that afternoon. I was in High School then and was down
for a weekend visiting my friend (I knew I would be attending St. Mary's in the Fall).
It was a great concert and turned me and my buddies into lifelong Badfinger devotees.
We do know it was with a local band called "Crank". It was
an incredible show....better than the show at Painters Mills in 1972. It was in the
gym, no seats, just mats, so we could get as close as we wanted. Pete Ham was playing
the red SG guitar and I remember being very impressed with Joey Molland and Pete
Ham traded lead guitar licks.
