Fenway Theatre
Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.

It was an old movie theater. The Fenway Theater was much more of a concert atmosphere, less like a rock-n-roll type affair. They were doing songs that were a little quieter, like 'Take It All' and 'We're For the Dark,' more acoustic type things. They mixed up a little bit of rock-n-roll. This was a favorite band and it was the first time I had seen them. My eyes were a mile wide open. I'd waited in line for the better part of an afternoon. I was one of the first 10 people in line and got great seats.

It was a beautiful show. I was a young kid. I was 18-years old, so a lot of the real memories have kind of vanished in the mists of time, but it was a very profound experience for me. I thought they sounded great. I actually got a poster that was posted for the concert that is a classic. It's Pete and Joey standing at the backs of Mike and Tom.
