Saw them March '72, Chicago Auditorium. Al Kooper opened --- blew us away... recall a young blonde screaming to the stage after the show, before the encore: "Baby Blue, Baby Blue"... little did we know it would be a new single shortly. I remember seeing very good looking women standing/sitting in the shadows of the stage -- as if they were wives or girlfriends of the band... so sad to have read of Pete's end a few years later. This band brought a nice feeling to many in those High School years. Their sound is timeless now.
