In August of 1981, I saw the post “Say No More” Badfinger at Magic Mountain in Valencia, California. I was surprised to see that Tom Evans wasn’t there and more than one person in the audience yelled out “Where’s Tommy?” I really only remember Joey and he was really my focus that evening. I recall him playing “No More” and I was impressed. I also recall him playing “Once Again A Love Song” from the Natural Gas album.

After the show, I hung around and after a deep breath, walked up to Joey, shook his hand, and told him how much I appreciated all the music he had written. He was a gentleman, cocked his head, and said “Thank you very much, man.” For me, it was a moment to remember.
