Badfinger concerts
1974
compiled by Tom Brennan
with assistance from Dan Matovina
For Badfinger's 6th U.S. tour, they had two new albums to promote at the same time! "Ass" on Apple Records and "Badfinger" on Warner Brothers Records were released within a few months of each other. This would turn out to be the band's final U.S. tour, although they didn't know it at the time. The start of the tour was delayed due to record company issues and management problems, but the gigs were picked up three weeks into their planned itinerary. A lot of songs on this tour contained extended jams, making them last 5-10 minutes long.

Mike: "With Bob Jackson, I thought
we gave Man a run for their money. Bob fit in perfectly. We had a pad sound and the
harmonies were improved. We went over a storm in Wales. I was surprised, because
Man in Swansea was like what The Grateful Dead are to San Francisco."
