sessions for attempted 2nd single:
April 1, 1969 (Tuesday)
Trident Studios, London

Give It A Try
Arthur

Note: This 2nd attempt at a follow-up single to "Maybe Tomorrow" was rejected by Apple, which prompted an article in "Disc and Music Echo" on July 5 with The Iveys stating that they were being "neglected". The first track ended up on the U.K. LP release of "Magic Christian Music" and its B-side remaining unreleased until the CD release of "Magic Christian Music" in 1991.

Trident Studios, London
The Iveys

Permissive Paradise

Note: This track was recorded for a promo flexidisc to promote the Frank Habicht book "Young London". The disc was given away on June 12, 1969 in London. The Iveys performed using the pseudonym, "The Pleasure Garden". Ron Griffiths brought the tape to Apple Studios and with the recording engineer "produced" the version which was pressed onto the flexidisc. The song was not written by any of The Iveys but mostly likely by publishing company employee Gilles Cremonesi under the pseudonyms of Jeremy Cox & John Sidey.
