Early in the morning as the dawn begins to break
He opens up his window, feels the sunrise on the lake
Slowly rising higher, as the wind, it softly sighs
The sun is all around him, it's warming up the sky
Later in the morning, getting colder, feels like rain
This awful, autumn weather, yes, it always is the same
I thought the sun was too good to be true this time of year
So, I'll sit down in my armchair, and I guess I'll have a beer
Ba ba, ba ba ba ba ba, ba-ba, ba
Ba ba, ba ba ba ba ba, ba-aaa
Ba ba, ba ba ba ba ba, ba-ba, ba
Ba ba, ba ba ba ba ba, ba-aaa
Later in the evening, as the sun begins to set
He closes up the window, turns on the hi-fi set
Slowly sinking lower, hears the wind, it softly cries
Stars are all around him, warming up the sky
In the morning (nothing much is found, nothing ever did)
In the morning (nothing to be seen since he was a kid)
In the morning (nobody knows how, but the world's been hid)
In the morning
It's so sad
It's so sad
It's so sad
It's so sad
