Notes:
all tracks are in stereo for the first time
The stereo mix of "My Generation" is missing elements that appeared in
the original mono single. The lead guitar is missing and some backing vocals (especially
at the end). These overdubs were not part of the original 3-track tape - they were
added as part of the mono mix on another tape.
The stereo mix of "A Legal Matter" is missing the lead guitar. The overdubs
were not part of the original 3-track tape - they were added as part of the mono
mix on another tape.
The stereo mix of "The Ox" plays out until the end of the take. It doesn't
fade out like the mono mix.
The horns on "Circles" are mixed really low compared to the mono - the
backing vocals are mixed louder (same notes sung as the french horn is playing)
The stereo mix of "Bald Headed Woman" is much longer than the original
mono single.
The stereo mix of "Daddy Rolling Stone" is slightly longer than the original
mono single.
CD 2 (bonus tracks - continued):
01. Leaving Here [alternate vocal to "Who's Missing"]
02. Lubie (Come Back Home)
03. Shout And Shimmy
04. (Love Is Like A) Heat Wave
05. Motoring [a.k.a. Motor-vating]
06. Anytime You Want Me
07. Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere
08. Instant Party Mixture [previously unreleased]
09. I Don't Mind [full length version]
10. The Good's Gone [full length version]
11. My Generation [instrumental backing]
12. Anytime You Want Me [vocals only]
original mono versions with overdubs:
13. A Legal Matter [includes overdub of guitar fills]
14. My Generation [includes overdubs of lead guitar and additional backing vocals
(ending "talkin' 'bout my generation"s)]
Notes:
Tracks 1-12 are stereo remixes.
"Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere" is the version previously released in France
that has Roger's original scratch vocal. When the mono mix was made for the single
release, Roger replaced his vocal with a better performance. This new vocal was not
preserved on the 3-track master multi-track.
"Instant Party Mixture" was originally intended to be the B-side of "Circles",
but was scrapped when "Substitute" came out instead. When "Circles"
was put on the B-side of "Substitute" the "Instant Party" title
was used by mistake. "Instant Party Mixture" was inspired by the "Beach
Boys Party" album that had just been released a few months earlier. Every member
of The Who contributes vocals.

Mixing notes for B-sides and outtakes from early LP sessions:
These new remixes generally have guitar in the left channel, vocals, piano, bass
and drums in the center (across both channels), and nothing that's obvious exclusively
in the right channel.
The stereo mixes that were released on "Who's Missing" and "Two's
Missing" are generally as follows:
Left: guitar
Center: vocals
Right: piano, drums, percussion and bass guitar
