Review (by Tom Brennan, October 27, 2013):
With this two-CD set reissue, which includes Badfinger's two Warner Brothers albums, all of the official Badfinger albums with Pete Ham are currently available on CD. (The Apple albums were reissued in 2010).

Disc 1 contains both albums Badfinger released originally in 1974 for Warner Brothers. Disc 2 is a reissue of Strange Fruit's 1997 CD release, "BBC In Concert 1972-3," however, track 15 (Come And Get It) has been omitted.

This reissue doesn't include any of the photos from the Strange Fruit release. Neither are there any rare bonus tracks added. As for the sound quality, these sound no better than previous releases, and sadly lack any new remastering. The packaging is just okay (with a lack of any previously unseen photos of the band). It includes a long, detailed essay by Alan Robinson that is well-written, with several interesting facts and quotes about the recording of the albums from Dan Matovina's book, "Without You: The Tragic Story of Badfinger." Unfortunately, Matovina's name is mis-spelled in the credits and the essay.

A number of typos are in the essay too, and a few grammatical errors additionally spoil it to some degree. The publishing credits are a mess (obviously not well researched) with Tom Evans' songs being credited to different publishers, as one example. The lyrics in the booklet are drastically incomplete and full of errors (especially on Give It Up). The bottom line with this release is unless you already don't own a copy of these on CD, you might want to pass on this one, although the convenience of two albums on one CD is nice.
